paykit
Let a website get paid. Bitcoin today. The website does not hold the money.
Why it exists
A shop, a clinic, or a fundraiser should be able to take a payment without building a wallet. OrangeCat already does this: you paste where the money should land, and the pay link sends it there. paykit is that same thing, so the next website does not rebuild it.
How it works
Someone pastes what their Bitcoin app shows under Receive — a Lightning address or an ordinary Bitcoin address. The package says which one it is. It does not check the checksum, and it does not ask for the payment or draw the code: the website does that. A Twint code, or another currency, can be shown the same way later. The visitor pays in their own app. The website does not store keys and does not keep a balance. Install it with pnpm add @bitbaum/paykit. OrangeCat does the same thing today.
Where it fits
OrangeCat is where people get paid. Loki is where the work happens. Solon is where the rules are decided. paykit is the getting-paid part, on its own, for a website that does not need the rest of OrangeCat.
