Governance any group can run
Solon runs governance for companies, towns, associations and communities — proposals, votes and the books, where every member can see them. Anyone with a seat puts a question on the record, members vote with one click under rules the group chose, and the result is published with every vote behind it. It is in beta; the governance agent that does the clerk's work is being built with the first pilot groups.
Groups decide things all the time — boards, villages, associations, co-ops — mostly in meetings nobody minutes and spreadsheets nobody trusts. Afterwards nobody can show who decided what, under which rules, or whether it was carried out.
Any group, at any size, from anywhere, governing itself the way Glarus has for centuries: everyone hears the question, everyone sees the vote, everyone knows the result.

- Propose, decide, carry out: a question in plain words, one-click votes, and a published result with every vote behind it.
- Rules the group chooses — who votes, how votes are counted, how many must agree: pick one, approval, dots, score or ranked.
- One click by default, a signature when wanted, and every record says which. A seat no longer needs a Bitcoin wallet.
- Red lines only people can vote on: who may join, aid payments, safety, and the rules themselves.
- Rules freeze when a vote opens, so past decisions stay explainable; the record is append-only and anyone can recount it.
- A governance agent that writes proposals up, reminds members and follows the money — it proposes, people decide. Being built with the first pilot groups.
In the stack Solon sets the ceiling on what OrangeCat's Cat may spend: the Cat proposes, the Cat and Loki vote with their own keys, and OrangeCat checks the result before anything changes. Loki builds and deploys Solon; you sign in with OrangeCat.
